YAY for pictures this month…and lot of them!! To start off the month we had Brevin’s 30th birthday party on the 1st. I tried to make it a surprise and invite his friends over to the house for a little get together one night, but the surprise got spoiled by a misunderstanding in a conversation with a certain someone that will not be revealed ;) (You know who you are!) We still had the party and it was a lot of fun! It was nice for our friends to be able to come over and hang out for a bit and catch up!
Then we took the girls to see Santa Claus. The plan was to go to a train depot in town that was going to have the Polar Express there with Santa in the Caboose for you to take pictures with, but we never could find the depot! Apparently we had the wrong address so we took the girls to the mall instead. The girls absolutely LOVED Santa this year! They climbed right up on his lap with big smiles on their faces and told him what they wanted for Christmas.

Then we had Aspen’s 5th birthday on the 15th. I can’t believe how big she is getting and that she will start school this coming August!!! Where does the time go?!?!? She had a party with all of her cousins and a friend from daycare. All of the cousins stayed the night and had so much fun together! We rented the movie “Mr. Popper’s Penguins” and had pizza.
The next day after her cousin party we went to Gma Johnson’s house for a little family party since uncle Dustin and Aspen share the same birthday.
Oh! I almost forgot!! We have a big announcement to make…if you haven’t already heard! We are pregnant with #3! I am due July 7th, 2012. We are all very excited about the baby, especially the girls! Hadley asks me all the time about “your baby”! We took them to one of my doctor’s appointments and they got to see the ultrasound, which they thought was awesome! My doctor gave each of them their own picture of the baby. I am 14 weeks now and everything is looking fantastic with the little peanut. We find out on Valentine’s Day what the sex is and crossing our fingers it is a boy this time :)
Then we had Brevin’s Christmas party for DYNO. It was actually a LOT of fun this year! Usually we go, eat dinner, listen to a HORRIBLE band they have hired, and go home. But, this year they hired a comedian and it was so much fun! He was actually very respectful and enjoyable! Afterwards instead of just going home we went out to a piano bar with a group of friends and had a lot of fun there as well! I was kid on iffy to go to a bar, but it ended up not being that bad. Just because you are in a bar doesn’t mean you need to feel obligated to drink or act like a complete moron… right??
Then we had Christmas Eve at the White’s house. Not everyone was able to make it this year, but we still had a lot of fun with the people that could make it! The kids exchanged gifts, made candy bar trains, acted out the nativity, and just plain had fun!
Then on Christmas Day we had our little Christmas at home as a family and then headed to church (just sacrament meeting). After church we went over to Gma Johnson’s house to have Christmas with them. All the grandkids got a swing set in Grandma’s backyard to play with and then other gifts from Gma and the cousins. Lots and lots of fun!
One day when I was preparing to go to the grocery store I was asking Brevin what he wanted for dinners for the coming week and all he kept saying was cinnamon rolls. So, I tracked down a recipe from one of his sisters and made them for him. They were DELICIOUS!! I must say that my first go at cinnamon rolls was a pretty big success! Funny how he has a craving for something and I am the pregnant one! LOL!
For New Year’s Eve this year we decided to stay home with the girls. We had planned to go to a friend’s house for a get-together, but decided that we had pawned the girls off to go do something one too many times this month and we needed a night together as a family. We had planned to let the girls stay up till midnight and bang pots or something to bring in the new year, but they only made it to about 9:15 before they were at each other’s throats and Brevin and I were at our wits end! So, we sent the girls to bet at about 9:30 and then by 10:30 I was in bed and out like a light! Brevin even said that he woke me up and asked if I wanted to watch the ball drop and the only response he got was me snoring… hee hee. I guess that’s what you get with a pregnant mama… LOL!
Anyways, this month has been a lot of fun and we have been super busy (what December isn’t busy?!). Until next month...
