This last Monday we decided for Family Home Evening it would be fun to take the girls swimming at the YMCA. They had a BLAST!!! I was so surprised at how well the two of them swim, especially Hadley!! Take a look for yourself...

Catch Up

Ok, so apparently I have been a real slacker and haven't posted anything in a LONG time...so here is the update...

SEPTEMBER:

We took the girls camping to Roaring River with some friends and family. The girls had an absolute BLAST!!! We froze our butts of at night, but they still had so much fun!! In fact, Aspen still asks just about every weekend if we can go camping again...so cute!

Kelsey and Hayden were such good babysitters!!

We went on a hike one afternoon with all of the kids (minus Hadley...she was sleeping in our tent and Johnny was "watching" her...lol).

Taking funny pictures in different caves on the trail...

Kelsey found this cool rock to take a picture under off the trail...

Brian and Kaleb taking a rest for a bit while the rest of us catch up...

The hike actually surprised me at how steep some of the places were, but it was BEAUTIFUL!!!

We found this log that was hollow in the center and Brevin thought it would be funny to stick the kids' heads in it...
(Keaton)

(Hunter)

(Kelsey)

And of course...Brevin had to try it out too...

Kaleb fell asleep about half way through the hike. He is such a cutie!

The boys just being boys along the trail...

And finally, one last goofy picture all together to end the hike...

Hadley and Aspen had fun lying in the hammock, but they would eventually start fighting...and yes, Hadley usually won the argument!

The kiddos also had fun playing in the street throwing the football, playing tag, riding in the wagon, riding bikes...they had all kinds of stuff to do!!

This is Hadley a couple of days after we got back from camping...scarred up face and all covered in chocolate in the backseat of the car. While we were camping she took a spill on the bank of the river...FACE FIRST!!!

The last time we went to Roaring River for just a day trip she did the same thing!! Quit bracing your fall with your face kid!!!

Hadley had fun one day while Aspen was at preschool going through the dress-up bin and dressing up like a princess...something she definitely does not get to do when her sissy is home!!!

We also had a birthday party at a park in Joplin with the White family for all the August birthdays. We ate lunch together and had cupcakes. The kids had so much fun playing on the equipment and spending time with their cousins.

Grandma and Grandpa White bought ice cream for all the kids...

All the kids ditched their shoes and splashed in the creek for a little bit while most of the adults watched...some adults wanted to play too...lol

One day we decided that it would be fun for the girls to wash the cars with us. We washed the SUV and then it occurred to me to actually take some pictures...DUH!!! So, I only got pictures of them helping Daddy wash his truck.

A few weeks later we went to a pumpkin patch with one of Aspen's friends, Rachael. There wasn't much to do, but the kids still had fun seeing all the huge pumpkins and playing in the sunflowers.

The kids got their faces painted too. I thought I got pictures of everyones face paintings, but apparently not...So, these are the pictures of the paintings...lol

OCTOBER:

Aspen decided one day to completely cover herself with stickers from head to toe rigth before leaving the house to run some errands. I have to admit...I laughed my butt off for a while!!

She could barely see through a little hole in the stickers on her face. She had to turn her head just right to be able to see...

MAPLE LEAF!!!!

One of my favorite times of the year!!! It was cold the morning of the parade, but got really warm that afternoon. The girls had so much fun watching the parade, as usual! We went and got them a cute little tutu each and they absolutely love them!! They wear them almost every day still!

We took them up on the square to see the little petting zoo. Hadley's favorite was the bunnies. After we left to go watch the parade she kept asking to go back and see the bunnies again...so cute!

Hadley liked the horse until she realized that the thing moved on its own...I was holding her and about got her to touch his back when he turned his head towards her. She about FLIPPED!! She started shaking and screaming!! I thought she was gonna jump out of my arms!!
They loved feeding the sheep the grass. Aspen thought it was fun to throw it in the cage at them instead of just holding it to their mouths.

Later that afternoon while the girls were napping my mom and I went to see the Marching Cobras' perform at the Audotorium. It was AWESOME!!! I had a major headache afterwards, but it was still fun.
Then, that evening, we went to have family pictures taken...
He did an AWESOME job with the photos!!!
Then comes Halloween. Aspen was a princess; everyone kept thinking she was Sleeping Beauty, but she didn't like that. So, we resorted to calling her "Princess Aspen". Kailey was a fairy from Tinkerbell. Hadley was a bumblebee. Kailey spent the night on Thursday night, so Friday morning I took them to my office and they trick or treated from sectional to sectional. They got a lot more candy than I thought they would there! Then, that night, Brevin and I took them to the mall. They had trick or treating, as usual, and games all over the place and the inflatable things that the kids can jump on. They had a blast and didn't want to come home!!
Hopefully I got everything in here...if not I will just have to post again. Maybe I will get better at keeping the blog updated...DOUBT IT!!!
