February 2013

To start off this month, our cousin Spencer had a birthday. The girls went with him to celebrate at House of Bounce on his actual birthday and then that weekend at Chuck E. Cheese. They were in hog heaven! Two of their most favorite places on the planet and all in one week!

Jade wanted some cake too!

For Valentine's Day this year we made heart-shaped cookies with the kids and got them each (except for Chett) a GIANT Hershey's Kiss.

Aspen was super excited to go to school on V-Day! She took one of the cookies for her teacher and valentines for the rest of the class. It was so fun to see her go through her valentines when she got home and show me all of them. One of her valentines was pretty clever. It said 'I "moustache" you a question. Will you be my Valentine?'

Ha Ha! I thought it was pretty cute! Aspen and Hadley both had their hair done specially for V-Day.

I'd say it was pretty festive...wouldn't you?

We finally got a substantial (at least enough to make a snowman) amount of snow this month! School was cancelled for a couple of days. I even got a day off of daycare too! (We were out of power one day.) The girls were all about getting out in it. They made three snowmen that day. Two at Grandma White's (We headed over there the day we didn't have power. Our house gets too cold too fast withought power!)

and one in our front yard.

Chett has found a new favorite snack...graham crackers!

And his new favorite place to hang out is wherever his sissies are. He loves to just sit and watch them play. It is just too cute to watch!

My big 4-year-old! Can't believe how grown up she is!

January 2013

Happy New Year everyone! 2012 was great (a little stressful at times, but what year isn't stressful?!) and we just know that 2013 will be even better (trying to be more positive is a resolution of ours ;-))

Our family got some big news recently! Grandma and Grandpa Johnson (Kim's parents) will be moving to Wyoming as soon as their house sells. In fact, Grandpa is already there! He left just two short weeks after we got the news. The girls are sad to know that grandma won't be around all the time and are having a hard time with that reality. We try to cheer them up by talking about how much fun it will be to go and visit them in a new place and go and do fun things with them like skiing and going to see Mount Rushmore. Hopefully we can make it out there sooner rather than later!

Oh the things you will find at grandma's house while going through boxes!

So, with that news has come a lot of work to get them ready to move. We have been helping to pack grandpa up and get him gone and helping grandma to sell furniture and get things moved around so that the house will sell. It has been a lot of work!

Our swingset got a face-lift thanks to a pretty handy daddy. We now have six swings and the thing won't swing back and forth like it is going to fall over anytime anyone swings on it. The kids have loved it and they have actually gotten to play on it recently! The weather has been amazing the last little while, up in the 60s on some days!

Hadley had her 4th birthday this month. She is getting so grown up! She wanted to have a Periwinkle party and cake. I did my best! She had a blast with her cousins that were able to make it to her party. We kinda dropped the ball on her party this year and we felt really bad, so at the last minute we decided to take her to the arcade at the mall for some birthday fun. She found out about it and was mad that we hadn't invited anyone to come with us, so we called her bestest friend, Kaleb, to have him come party with her. They had a blast! Good thing they live close!

Hadley, Kaleb and Aspen all wanted a toy from the claw game. Kaleb's and Hadley's prizes got stuck in the claw.

Chett is growing like a weed! I think he has stopped growing around and is just getting longer now...finally! He is wearing 18 month clothes and is only 7 months old!! Ha Ha! He is so chunky, but I just love it!

Not much else has gone on this month. We had a few things break down on us and ended up with a new washer, dryer and TV. We decided that the washer and dryer count as Kim's birthday present for this year and the TV counts as Brevin's birthday present for last year...ha ha! Funny how birthdays are so important after you turn 18.

Random pictures from this month:

Playing with cousin, Jade.

He found his thumb.

Started eating solid foods and one of his favorite snacks is yogurt bites. He just can't get enough of them!

MmmMmmMmm! That was goooood stuff momma!
MY puffs!!

Sleepy baby boy. So sweet!

Poor Hadley fell into the door frame while playing one day. She got pretty beat up. :-(

Hair tattoos...who knew?!

Kim got asked to go to a Christian band concert with one of her good friends. They went and were back in about an hour and a half. Ha Ha! They got a little freaked out by some of the things that happened while there. It turned into more of a sermon than a concert. People are CRAZY! Definitely something they won't be forgetting anytime soon!
